sorry to hear this… i guess. how you get a pet that you didn’t like and didn’t like you? what kind of bird?
my grandmother always wanted a bird, and i was pestering for a dog so she got me a white dove instead (i did eventually get a dog as well, though). he was antisocial and pecked pretty much everyone, though he liked it whenever i played christmas carols on the piano.
